meeting 2024 03 18 n315 - JacobPilawa/TriaxSchwarzschild_wiki_5 GitHub Wiki
Context
-
I've gone ahead and done a few more line tests to supplement what we were looking at last week. These models have Mbh = 3e9, M/L = 2.57, Rho0 = 4e9, T = 0.9. I've fixed phi to a few angles between ~60 and ~85. and let theta free.
-
The results seem to suggest to me that the minimum at high theta and high phi is real, with both minima being around ~80 degrees. The resulting Tmin does dive toward 0, but Tmaj is definitely non-zero and T seems to really want to be near T=0.9 or so.
-
First, here's an overview of the models in these tests, with the best fitting model plotted as the red star. The colors are chi2kin, with the best models being ~purple, and the worst are ~yellow. I mostly am showing this plot for context, and more telling plots are below:

Other Updates
- I had forgotten to apply the distance corrections to the M/L last time, so I've updated that here. Note again that N4697 is in two different bands.
