Production Plots for N57 + Scaling Corrections + Misc. Diagnostics
Context
I've been putting together a set of final plots for the N57 paper. Many of them are currently in the Overleaf document, but I wanted to put them here as well for ease of access and discussion.
Diagnostics to Disucss
I got Emily's scaling procedure working and have a few diagnostic plots here -- in short, it doesn't seem like the scaled models are causing us any issue with regard to our bi-modal posterior, nor does it seem to be influencing the shape. Running through the scaling routine, we trim from 56,307 total models to ~5000 within a delta chi2 of 45 of the minimum, and the results taking the best scaled models agree with our naive results quite well. Note that these results still have the line of Lipka models, but I ran a test case without the Lipka results and nothing changed (plus, the Lipka models are only ~1% of the total number of models we have).
