A. MOTOR SIZING:

DC MOTOR:

Diameter of the conveyor rod(D):3.0 CM=0.03m

Coefficient of friction between rubber sheet and PVC pipe=COF= 0.7

Mass of 1Rs coin: 3.76 grams

Mass of 2Rs coin: 5.62 grams

Mass of 5Rs coin: 6.00 grams

The TOTAL mass of the coins= 15.380 grams=0.01538kg

The TOTAL mass of the conveyor belt= 0.80kg

TOTAL mass = 0.01538+0.80=0.815380 kg

g= 9.8 m/s^2

FORCE(F) = TOTAL mass X COF x g = 0.815380 X0.7 X9.8 = 5.59 N

TORQUE =(FxD)/2 = (5.59x0.025)/2 = 0.069875 Nm

TORQUE= 0.069875 x100 /9.81 =0.712

FOS = 1.5

FINAL TORQUE = 0.712x 1.5 = 1.0680 Kg cm

Considering the final torque, we are using the 12v,30 RPM DC MOTOR, WHICH IS A TORQUE OF 1.0680 kgcm.
