Time/Place

This meeting is held virtually via Zoom, with an open channel for chatter on Slack. Anyone is welcome to join. The hosting can be claimed by anybody with the host ID. The Host ID is in the header of the TAG slack channel.

We talked about usign Github free tier to store our images, since Github right now syas they won't delete your images. Though that could cahnge, and they could start charging. We will start pushing to Github as a back up.

We talked about not doing the pinning of dependicaes, but it might be best to continue that practice. Though it woudl take a lot of effort to recreate specif images by removing all of the pinned versions.

docker buildx imagetools inspect islandora/solr:3.5.5

One observation is that our community images show up as being created "55 years ago" locally, and wonder if this is causing some of our issues.

We may want to reach out to community when we have a set "fix" or workaround for folks.

In addition, our upcoming migration to a new digital preservation repository includes its own tools for technical metadata extraction. Taken together, Harvard will no longer be able to host and steward the FITS project. We want to discuss the path forward with the community.
