• IslandoraCon 2025 host offer was approved by the Board, tentative dates between July 14-18, 2025
  • Availability of staff at the host institution to serve on planning committee confirmed
  • Options for hybrid participation at the host institution confirmed
  • Next steps: Planning committee
    • ICC members review materials from Toronto IslandoraCon, check with Board on budget requests/process
    • ICC coordinates with host contact on planning committee members and general recruitment, communications plan
    • ICC will make sure to have a liaison on planning committee
    • ICC will see if previous IslandoraCon planning committee members are interested in joining (after coordination with local host)
  • Additional next steps: confirm ADA accessibility at host location
• ICC membership: IF board has determined Amy can stay on ICC for a term without continuing as chair

  • Related to Tech call/TAG question about ICC support for 3.0 planning
  • Rosie has made issues related to this question: modularization for Alpaca and Fedora
  • Who is charged with making these decisions? Committers evaluate issues; without a tech lead, there isn't a clear person to make a plan
  • Could we outline the downstream effect of these proposed changes for the community as a whole?
    • Work to modularize would make Islandora easier to share through Drupal community
    • Rosie will work on documenting implications, and take back to ICC/TAG for more discussion

  • Bots! Ideas about getting a discussion started ahead of an October meeting
  • Pick up training again, running a training with hands-on?
  • Show and tell in September? Newspapers and paged objects? Scrapbooks? Workbench training again?
  • November: move the meeting to the week before to circumvent US Thanksgiving
