The Feedback Loop - IncrediCoders/Python1 GitHub Wiki
Paul Python added this page on July 29, 2025
Welcome to the Feedback Loop! Just like a loop in code takes you full circle back to the beginning again (to run the code again), the concept of a feedback loop takes you full circle through the process! We make the thing (the book), then you provide feedback. We address the feedback (including making updates to the book or Wiki content, as needed). And then we start the process again when you have more feedback!
So, what's the feedback?
Do you have a question that's not in the FAQ? Or do you have a bug or issue to report about the book code, instructions, or even characters or story? Or a bug or issue about the code files on GitHub or the even the instruction and information pages here on GitHub Wiki? Or maybe you simply have an idea to share or some game improvements you made that you'd like to show us? We'd love to get your questions, feedback, and ideas! In fact, we have several different ways to do that, from filing GitHub Issues, to engaging with us in the GitHub Discussions forum, or chatting with us in our LinkedIn community! Let's git talking!
Here are some options to communicate with us and share your feedback:
-
GitHub Discussions
-
LinkedIn Community
If you find any issues with our book, code, or online resources, please create a GitHub Issue so that we can help (and maybe fix the issues)! We are using Github Issues to track any problems that you encounter!
Before being able to create an issue, you'll be prompted to sign up for GitHub. Follow the prompts to make an account if you don't already have one (it's free!) and make sure you are signed in. For more information, see Creating an account on GitHub.
For a walkthrough from GitHub (with images), visit the "creating an issue" docs page. You can create an issue by clicking the issues tab in this repository (at the top left of this page, next to the code tab). This brings you to the main issues page, where you can search to check if your issue has already been submitted. You can proceed to create a new issue by pressing the green "New Issue" button at the top right of the issues page.
When filling out an issue, make sure to add a short summarizing title in the first box. Add in all relevant details in the body of the issue to help us help you more easily. Note that images can be added by dragging and dropping them in the main text box.
We've also directly linked to the template below:
- Change Requests: Call out inaccurate or incorrect statements, code, or instructions. This includes any issues with the book.
We hope you took all that to heart, and you're ready to learn (or to continue learning)! Let's get back to the book! And you should probably also check out the rest of our resources, at IncrediCoders: Python Adventures - All Online Resources.
And you can take a gander at all the rest of our Big Book Buddies, which are pages we have on the Wiki that help out as buddies of the book!
