Create a GitHub Issue - IncrediCoders/Python1 GitHub Wiki

If you have any questions/comments/concerns or find any issues with our online resources, please create a GitHub Issue so that we can help. We are using Github Issues to track comments and suggestions, answer questions, and generally interact with the community in real time as you start your journey in tech (and help the Power Posse in the process)!

Before being able to create an issue, you'll be prompted to sign up for GitHub. Follow the prompts to make an account if you don't already have one (it's free!) and make sure you are signed in.

For a walkthrough from GitHub (with images), visit the "creating an issue" docs page. You'll always be able to start creating an issue by clicking the issues tab in this repository (at the top left of this page, right under the repository name and next to the code tab). This brings you to the main issues page, where firstly you can search to check if your question/issue has already been answered. If your concern hasn't been covered or isn't currently being addressed, then you can proceed to create a new issue by pressing the green "New Issue" button at the top right of the issues page. From there, you'll be able to choose what type of issue to create (read the descriptions to figure out which is right for your scenario). Simply press the "Get Started" button on the right for whichever type of issue suits your needs best. Feel free to open a separate, new issue for each individual valid concern you have.

When filling out an issue, make sure to add a short summarizing title in the first box. Add in all relevant details in the body of the issue to help us help you more easily. Note that images can be added by dragging and dropping them in the main text box.

We've also directly linked the templates below for each type of issue so you can start writing right away:

  • Change Requests: call out inaccurate or incorrect statements, code, instructions
  • Suggestions and Ideas: bring up ideas to improve the book, the online resources, or any part of the process
  • Questions: ask general (tech-related) questions
