WARNING - DayZ Editor is only to be used offline, it's not a server mod.
Console Users.
DayZ Editor can be used to make Object Spawner .jsons that work with console builds. You must not load the mod BuilderItems. Placing objects from this mod will not work for you because the mod is not available on consoles. Ignoring this mod will streamline your process.
Downloading the mods
All you have to do is to subscribe to the following mods on the Steam Workshop :
- Dabs Framework
(required)
- CF
(required)
- DayZ Editor
- BuilderItems
(required for brushes. (Console users can not use the objects from this mod.))
Additional Recommended Mods :
- BuildingsMegaModPack - Adds additional buildings.
- DayZ Expansion - Adds tons of new content and mechanics. Note: BuilderItems mod is packaged with Expansion. Do not load BuilderItems with DayZ Expansion.
- VanillaRoadPartsPack - Allows you to place all vanilla roads.
- BetterClutterCutters - Better grass cutters with more sizes.
- TerrainIslands - Islands and terrains.
DayZ Editor Loader is required to load DayZ Editor (.dze) files on servers.
BuilderLoader allows for easy loading from init.c on servers without modifying mission files.
Getting in the Editor
1. Launch the Official DayZ Launcher.
2. Enable the mods.
3. Click on the "Play" button.
4. Click on "Open Editor".
Then select the map you want to play on and click "Select".
