Waypoints
V90.27 and above: You can define up to 20 waypoints. Similar to the home arrow, you will get a waypoint arrow that shows you the direction, distance (and optionally altitude) difference to the next waypoint. Once you have reached a waypoint, ImpulseOSD will cycle to the next waypoint going from waypoint 1, to waypoint 2, etc. When you have reached the last waypoint it will start with the first waypoint again.
You can always use the OSD to enter the waypoints, but the most comfortable way is using the Windows GUI. Use e.g. Google Maps to find the coordinates you wish to enter as waypoints and copy/paste them in the latitude/longitude fields in the GUI. Note that you must start with Waypoint 1 and consecutively configure the next ones - do not leave gaps otherwise they will be ignored!
Note: You need to turn the waypoint label on. If there are no waypoints configured, the waypoint arrow will also not show!
Waypoint setup
Enter the menu (yaw left while disarmed for more than two seconds), go to SETUP and then GPS, then WAYPOINTS
- WP MIN DISTANCE: The minimum distance to the next waypoint before it cycles to the next waypoint.
- WAYPOINT NUMBER: Select the waypoint you want to configure. Note that you must start with Waypoint 1 and consecutively configure the next ones - do not leave gaps otherwise they will be ignored!
- WAYPOINT ACTIVE: Turn the selected waypoint ON or OFF. Note: If you turn a waypoint off, all the following waypoints will be ignored. If you turn waypoint 1 off the waypoint label will not show at all!
- LATITUDE: The latitude for the selected waypoint. For waypoint 1 it will suggest your home coordinates as default. For the following waypoints it will suggest the waypoint coordinates of the previous waypoint.
- LONGITUDE: The longitude for the selected waypoint. For waypoint 1 it will suggest your home coordinates as default. For the following waypoints it will suggest the waypoint coordinates of the previous waypoint.
- ALT ACTIVE: Turn this ON/OFF if you wish to use an optional altitude for your waypoint.
- ALTITUDE: Optional altitude you can enter for your waypoint. This will add an additional arrow to our waypoint label pointing up or down depending on the current altitude difference. Note that you must use altitudes relative to sea level!
- CLEAR ALL: Delete all waypoints.
- SAVE+EXIT: Save all changes (and also changes made in other menus except the VTX menu) and exit the menu.
- BACK: Go back to GPS Menu. Changes are not discarded, but they are not saved until you exit with SAVE+EXIT from any menu.
