Config Tool: Screen Designer - ImpulseRC/OSD GitHub Wiki
Screen Designer
ImpulseOSD Config Tool has a full graphical screen designer allowing you to configure exactly what you would like your OSD to display, where it should be positioned and how it will look.
All actions you take in the screen designer are immediately reflected on the live video output from the device, including enabling/disabling items, moving item locations and changing icon settings. This allows you to get a real preview of your configuration through your goggles as you go. Although changes are displayed immediately, you must press the Save button to make them permanent, otherwise your changes will be lost when you power off the device.
There is both a Light and Dark theme available for the Config Tool which can be selected by clicking the Light/Dark option on the top right in the title bar of the application.

Video Mode
You can switch the video mode of the screen designer between PAL and NTSC mode to match the output from your camera. Pal mode includes more rows where you can place items due to the increased vertical resolution.
When you switch video modes the screen designer will automatically resize to give you a correct representation. Any OSD labels which would have been dropped off the screen by the change are re-positioned.
The Config Tool will remember each unique device you connect and automatically save the video mode selection. The next time you connect the device the correct video mode will be restored. If it is the first time you connect a device to the Config Tool the video mode will default to the mode you used the last time you ran the application.
OSD Labels
You can choose from a list of available items to hide and show data on your OSD using simple toggle buttons.
Please note that some items will show in the Screen Designer so you can position them but will not be visible in the live video output from the goggles unless the corresponding hardware is detected. For example GPS related items will not be shown in your goggles unless a GPS is connected to the device, or to a flight controller attached to the device.
Drag and Drop
To re-position items on the screen simply drag and drop them with your mouse. The currently selected item will change colour while you are moving.
Icons
Some OSD labels can be either accompanied by an icon or replaced with a graphical representation. You can configure how your items are displayed, as well as whether the ImpulseRC logo is shown at startup, using the Icons dialog.
