The AMD Platform Security Processor (PSP) or AMD Secure Processor is a subsystem of AMD CPUs since roughly 2013. Unlike Intel's Management Engine, the PSP is directly embedded in the CPU die.
The firmware of the PSP, like the ME firmware, is contained within the SPI flash on any given AMD system within "padding" between UEFI filesystems.
