There are few things as satisfying in firmware modding as being able to actually see the modifications work. Modifying the splash screen is probably the prime example of this. There are many tools to do such modifications to firmware images or even from a running OS to specific machines but here we want to take a look at a general way of identifying and modifying the splash screen image in most UEFI images.
