While ISETCam has always been useful for AI/ML projects, it hasn't always made them easy:) Starting in 2020 additional functionality and tutorials have been added to support students and researchers in selecting image datasets, creating camera designs, and evaluating those designs with a variety of pre-trained models either directly, or via additional transfer learning.

Here is a walkthrough of how to use ieCameraDesigner for selecting images, designing a camera, and evaluating its success at image recognition.
