ARTIFICIAL SEAWATER

Ingredients:

• 36 g of Sea salt (Instant ocean, Aquarium Systems).
• 1 L of mQ water.
• Filter 0,22µm.

Method:

1. Suspend 36 g of sea salt in 1 L of mQ water.
2. Filter through 0.22µm sterile membrane filter.

No need to autoclave but filter under the hood and UV turned on.

Prepping Calcium-free ASW

Dissolve the below in 1 L of DI or RO water:

Elements	Amounts
NaCl	28,32 g
KCl	0,77 g
MgCl2	2,56 g
MgSO4	3,60 g
NaHCO3	0,2 g

With EDTA

Add 0.186 g EDTA per 100 mL CFASW.

Prepping Calcium-Magnesium free ASW:

Dissolve the below in 1 L of DI or RO water:

KCl	0,77 g
Na2SO4	8,52 g
NaHCO3	0,2 g
