Materials:

  • 2,5 g of Cerophyll (Ward's Natural Science Establishment, Inc., P.O. Box 92912, Rochester, NY 14692).
  • 1 L of Distilled water.
  • 0,5 g of Na2HPO4.

  • Equivalent to cerophyll: Grass Media Culture (Dairy Goat Nutrition P.O. Box 22363, Kansas City, MO 64113)

  • Similar to cerophyll: Cereal Leaf Product no. C-7141 (Sigma Chemical Company, P.O. Box 14508, St. Louis, MO 63178).

Method:

  1. Add 2,5 g of cerophyll to 1 L of distilled water.

  2. Boil for 5 minutes.

  3. Add 100 mL distilled water to compensate for evaporation.

  4. Filter through Whatman #1 filter paper.

  5. Add 0,5 g Na2HPO4.

  6. Adjust the pH to 7,0.

  7. Autoclave for 15 minutes at 121ºC.

  8. Store at 4ºC.
