Mass=density X volume =(0.961 X 667.2)+0.3 =0.941kg

Coefficient of friction=0.85

Force=mass X coefficient of friction

=0.85 X 0.941

=0.8N

Torque=force X r =0.8 X 2.2 =1.76kg/cm

Factor of safety=1.5

Total torque=1.76 X 1.5 =2.64kg/cm

THEREFORE 60 RPM DC MOTOR IS SUITABLE

DC MOTOR SELECTION

Total volume=300cm^3

Mass=Density X volume

=0.96 X 300 =288gm

Force=mass X coefficient of friction =288 X 0.4 115.2N

Torque=Force X r =115.2 X 2.5 =288gm/cm

Factor of safety=1.5

Total torque=288 X 1.5 =432gm/cm =0.432kg/cm

THEREFORE 45 RPM DC MOTOR IS SUITABLE

ADAPTOR SELECTION

Speed of the motor=45 rpm

torque=2.64 kg-cm

Power= 2 X pi X speed X torque/60

Power=2 X 3.14 X 45 X 2.64/60

Power=12V

Therefore Adaptor of 12V is suitable
