The 'Golden Telescope' Encounter is the 96th encounter made for the throne room, it has a rarity level of 100, and starts with the following intro text 'you are visited by a man who claims he has a stole artifact, known as the 'Golden Telescope' which can help with exploring and finding new lands, he will sell it to you for no less than 4000 gold'

you are given four options

• Pay the 4000 gold
• Seize him and take the artifact
• Refuse the offer
• To the dungeons

if you choose to buy the artifact you have a 1 in 3 chance to get a fake, but 2 of 3 times it will be the actual artifact, this will allow you to explore one extra place per turn.

if you choose to seize him, a 85% of the time you will not get anything as he stores the artifact with a friend in the city, however the other 15% of the times you have a chance of getting the artifact however there is a fifty fifty chance it's a fake

if you refuse the offer he will leave and the artifact will return to the artifact market, and if you send him to the dungeons you will get nothing
