1. Initial group security plan

WE ARE BUILDING A WALL TO KEEP THE non- Vermont people OUT. (not in minecraft (irl) :D) and a moat(with sharks), one entry point for each state/canada,

Clearance – out of state workers Someone in the government points out that many people work in Vermont who live outside the state. People should be cleared who are approved by the state.

1a. Modify your system to accommodate this

Blood sample/fingerprint/eyescan when you enter and exit 1b. Are there ways of breaking into this system? Flying over the wall(parachuting in/pole-vaulting), stealing biometric data from other people, identity theft

2. People already in the state that have not been cleared to enter

forceful yet polite Vermont ICE (people without a registered Vermont ID/Voucher will be asked to leave…)

3. All people in a vehicle must be cleared for it to cross the border into Vermont

Cars must be registered, and searched upon entry,

Question 2

What about people leaving the state?

People leaving the state should also present their appropriate ID and biometric information before being able to leave the state. (Do the same as entering)

Do we care?

No, except for trying to enter the state again, we want to have logs of Vermont residents leaving so we can allow them back in and make sure someone isn't trying to fake an identity.

4. The contents of a vehicle, passengers luggage and belongings must meet the requirements of the state.

Digital files, hardcopy papers, brought in or out must not refer to people in Vermont who have been cleared.

This applies to people coming in or leaving the state.

Modify the system to accommodate this.

Everything must be on an external drive so that we can scan the things on the drive, and if they reference people who have been cleared we throw them in the moat.

5. The state relaxes the requirements to allow more people into Vermont temporarily for summer and autumn.

Describe changes

We will have tourism over zoom (for the poor people), to be allowed in people will have to pay for a tourism pass (it is expensive so that we know people with money will come into the state)

5a. Are there ways of corrupting, changing the data that is used to get into the state or information being brought in?

There are always ways to get in (ex. viruses/malware could potentially corrupt the information used in the Vermont ID/Biometric database. Additionally encrypted or hidden data can be used to “smuggle” information into the state.)

5b. Are there ways of someone getting the data who it was not intended for?

Yes, brute force attack (physical pen test?)

Final Questions

Does this scenario impact travel in the state of Vermont and do we care?

Yes, people will be less likely to travel to Vermont and yes we do care because less money will be made.

Is this beneficial or detrimental to people in Vermont? Outside Vermont?

Detrimental because we rely on tourism

Is Vermont safer because of this?

About equivalent to what it was before, people in Vermont can still commit crimes and do bad things.

Are Vermonters’ private information more secure because of this?

Yes because people will have less access to it.
