Configuring UO File Updates - Hotride/OrionUO GitHub Wiki
Orion Launcher learned how to download updates for UO files from specified servers (if configuration is configured).
Prepare a folder with UO files that will be available in the update (it is recommended to leave only the original files with the game data there, without temporary folders, patch files, third-party software).
To configure, go to the "For server administrators" tab, on it to the "UO files update configuration" tab.
Click on the folder icon to select the directory where your prepared files for updating are located.
After selecting a folder, click on the "Update file list" button.
In the window below, a tree of files and folders will be displayed, in which some files are automatically ticked.
Check whether all the necessary files are marked with checkmarks, if necessary - select the skipped ones, deselect files that should not get into the update.
Enter the server name in the "Server name" field (this name will be displayed on the UO file update tab).
In the field "Server host" enter the address of the server where the files will be stored (full path to the files). The address must end with a delimiter / otherwise the launcher will try to download the file via a nonexistent path.
Click on the "Create local config and zip archives" button and wait for the operation to complete. This is a lengthy operation, it may take a long time to complete.
The folder "temp_uo_updates" will be created in the root folder with the launcher, where all the archives and the file "UpdateInfo.xml" will be located. The entire contents of this folder, without any changes, must be uploaded to the server at the path specified earlier (in the Server host).
Also, the "ServerConfig.xml" file will be created in the root folder with the launcher. This file must be placed in the UO files folder to send update requests to a specific server (and to display the "UO files updates" tab).
Restart the launcher and go to the "UO files updates" tab.
It will display the UO files available for updating, which will be downloaded from your "Server host".
To supplement the update with separate files - you can repeat the whole procedure for all files (minimum manual work, it is recommended to avoid errors), or - put the modified files into a separate folder, configure the update for them, upload them to the server, manually edit the "UpdateInfo.xml "on the server according to the current information from the" temp_uo_updates "folder.
By the button "Open network log" a window will open with the event log when exchanging data over the network, where you can track all requests/responses and errors that occurred.
