Wi-Fi Setup

Donate
You must configure wifi network before adding the accessory to HomeKit. To configure Wi-Fi settings, device generates its own Wi-Fi in AP mode. You must connect to it in order to setup your Wi-Fi network.

Simply take your iOS device, go to Setting -> Wi-Fi, and search for an SSID called HomeKid- followed by the module's MAC address and connect to it. For security reasons the AP is password protected!

Default AP password: 12345678

Wait a few seconds until a web appears showing you all Wi-Fi networks that the device has found. Select yours, and enter password then click the Join button! The module will try to connect the selected Wi-Fi network, this will take a couple of seconds.

Note: If the given password is wrong, you can Reset the Wi-fi settings by holding the Reset button for 10sec. After successful Wi-Fi connection, the Status LED will blink 2 times!

HomeKit Setup

In your iOS device, open Home App and follow normal steps to add a new accessory.
Pairing setup takes about 30 seconds.

Default  HomeKit code is 029-67-285.

Also You can scan this HomeKit QR code:

Note: If pairing fails, you can unpower your device, repower it, and start HomeKit setup again (Wifi settings keep configured). After successful pairing the Status LED will flashing 3 times!

Flow Rate

According to Eve, Flow rate can be measured using a water flow meter or by measuring the amount of water accumulated in 1 minute period. This value is used for calculating water consumption! Eve doesn't let you enter higher values than 99.9L/min!

Total Water Consumption

Total Water Consumption is calculated by the Flow Rate value. Each Valve close event will add the calculated amount of water Total consumption can be reset within the Eve app.

Watering For / Last Watered

Last Watered indicated when the Valve was last active and Watered For shows you the time how long the Irrigation is watering for when its running.

_Currently the current time is set via SNTP task running every minute, but the Timezone / DST cannot be adjusted currently so its maybe off! Also on first boot - until the Time task runs - maybe Never Watered or Just now showing up! Don't worry, its normal_😄

Schedules

Currently the Schedule function is not available because its not reverse engineered fully yet 😄

Other

Since iOS14 the Home app only shows 2 options for watering time! Don't worry, in the Eve app you can adjust the time from 10 seconds up to 4 hours! 😄 For safety reasons when the device loose Wi-Fi connection during an active watering period it will turn off the Valve to prevent you from flooding 😄 Status LED will flash 2 times every 2 minute to indicate Wi-Fi lost error!

Reset

Resetting device to factory defaults

The code has a Reset function in case of something goes wrong. Wait about 5 seconds to allow device to boot completely, and then long press the button for at least 10sec!

Note: Single pressing the same button will toggle the Valve ON or OFF

All configured settings has been removed and device is restarting. This removes HomeKit, Wi-Fi and Eve app settings and your device will go to Access Point mode next time in order to reconfigure Wi-Fi.

Reconnecting to Wifi network

If wifi network becomes unreachable, device will keep searching Wi-Fi automatically until it can connect again when Wi-Fi becomes available.

Note: Resetting the accessory may not remove it from the Home app, you need to do it manually after resetting! Before resetting the Status LED will flashing 6 times, which indicates the start of Reset process!
