From various feedback for Movable Type 5.0x , we are aware of the following issues

for upgraded users, it is important

  • not to generate websites/pemissions automatically

for beginners, it is important

  • to reduce steps to install and publish a first entry
  • not to separate URL/Path settings into two places (website and blog)
  • to minimize the knowledge required to modify design
  • to start with a single blog then manage multi blogs later

for advanced users, it is important

  • to maximize the flexibility of URL/Path settings
