Tasks Completed:

  • I worked on SCRUM-187 – UI, Database & Server Integration Updates, where I updated the UI to match recent implementations, modified the database by adding missing fields and removing unused ones, and fixed the project directory structure.
  • I worked on SCRUM-179 – Fix Connection Issue (Server and Frontend), where I resolved connection problems related to missing dependencies and frontend configuration.
  • I worked on SCRUM-45 – User Profile and Resume Management, implementing features that allow users to create and edit their profiles, manage their resumes, and display their information.
  • I worked on SCRUM-146 – Recruiter Dashboard and Posting Management, including recruiter/job seeker role selection, authentication routing, and the recruiter dashboard for creating and managing job postings. Here are the subtasks I worked on: I completed SCRUM-170 and SCRUM-171, which involved implementing role selection during registration and developing the recruiter dashboard and job posting features.

Peer Review & Collaboration:

  • I collaborated with team members to make sure the frontend, backend, and database were properly connected.
  • I helped fix integration issues caused by recent implementations and changes to the project structure.
  • I worked with other team members to ensure the new features were compatible with the existing application.
  • I helped identify and resolve issues related to missing dependencies, file paths, and server connections.

Meetings & Administration:

  • I attended team meetings and participated in discussions about Sprint 2 tasks and our progress.
  • I worked on SCRUM-227 – Create and Link GitHub User Stories and Assigned Tasks, alongside Hind Houfaidi. We created GitHub issues for Sprint 2 stories, assigned implementation tasks, and linked them to the corresponding Jira issues. I helped manage the team's Jira board by organizing stories, assigning tasks, and tracking their progress.
  • I worked on SCRUM-244 – Compile and Submit the One-Page Sprint 2 Summary Report, which is currently in progress.
  • I helped keep the Jira board and GitHub issues organized to make it easier for the team to track development progress.
  • Did the whole website testing SCRUM-147 – Test whole sprint 2 implementations

Capacity

  • Worked for 21h/week.

Tasks Completed:

  • I worked heavily on SCRUM-142 – Job Search & Job Listing Interface. This epic included implementing the frontend job listing page UI (SCRUM-155), the job detail view and navigation (SCRUM-157), and the search and filter controls (SCRUM-156).
  • I developed the JobList.jsx component using React to fetch live job postings from the MongoDB database and integrated keyword, location, and category filters. I also built the JobDetail.jsx component and wired up state-based navigation from the Navbar to smoothly transition between the job board and specific job descriptions. I finalized the backend architecture for the job board by defining the Mongoose JobPosting schema and creating the Express API routes (/api/jobs and /api/jobs/:id) to handle dynamic MongoDB queries.
  • I worked extensively on SCRUM-105 – Job application submission & tracking. For this epic, I implemented the backend Express POST route and database queries to securely store applications (SCRUM-161), and built the frontend React form and submit flow with a conditional success confirmation UI (SCRUM-162).
  • I completed end-to-end tests for the job application submission and tracking flow (SCRUM-167).
  • I worked on calculating and planning the Team Capacity and Effort Estimation for the sprint deliverables.

Peer Review & Collaboration:

  • I conducted multiple peer code reviews for the team, logging them under SCRUM-182 (DEV - REVIEW 1) and SCRUM-192 (DEV - REVIEW 2).
  • I collaborated closely with Nazila to test the job search filters end-to-end by having her seed the database with a mock "Aerospace Engineer" job, ensuring the UI correctly filtered and rendered data.
  • I addressed code review feedback from Hind, creating a separate PR to implement loading states, error handling for failed API requests, and disabling the 'Apply Now' button until Sprint 3 functionality is ready.
  • I resolved various integration issues, including fixing ESLint errors that failed the CI pipeline and resolving Git merge conflicts by cherry-picking commits to maintain a clean branch history.

Meetings & Administration:

  • I attended team meetings and participated in discussions about Sprint 2 tasks and our progress.
  • I worked on compiling and updating my individual Sprint 2 AI usage log and validation evidence (SCRUM-234).
  • I am currently preparing my section for the Sprint 2 feature demonstration (SCRUM-243).
  • I finalized my individual contribution log, detailing the time spent and my specific tasks for the sprint (SCRUM-249).

Capacity

  • Worked for 15h/week.
