The following are the steps that were taken to download and install the software needed to run the 2012 FRC control systems.

The Labview runtime engine needs to be installed first and can be downloaded from "http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2534". After the installation process is complete it requires the computer to be restarted and leaves a folder on the C:\ drive with the install data and can be removed or saved for backup. Note that the 32-bit version needs to be installed and won't work with only the 64-bit version.

The LabView vision common resources have to be installed too. They can be downloaded from "http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2978/lang/en".

The 2012 Labview update needs to be installed. It can be downloaded from "http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2261".

The 2012 Utilities update needs to be installed. It can be downloaded from "http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2262".

The 2012 Driver Station update needs to be installed. It can be downloaded from "http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2263".

Next the FRC Java components are added to Netbeans by adding the following provider to the standard list of providers "http://first.wpi.edu/FRC/java/netbeans/update/updates.xml". Then the available plugins have to be installed.
Note that in order to image the CRIO you have to turn off your firewall.
