Did introductions. Wanted to figure out scope and how much the developers think they can accomplish in our short time frame. The game will have a story element to it, depends on how much we are able to get done with the base gameplay. Most important part of the game is movement through the environments. We will build the map. Akash will use Unity because he has more experience with it. It will be a 2D game. Art style would be close to Megaman but with more cityscape. Made working agreement. Monday Wednesday Friday as meeting days at 2PM, Akash is busy on Sundays. Will meet next on Thursday or Friday this week, start MWF schedule next week. Take about 2 weeks to get movement done. Gameplay will be a side-scrolling platformer. Akash will be able to get walking, jumping, shooting, and a basic plain by Friday. 10 hours to get test map done. Walking/ jumping 6 hours. Background map can be a simple looping picture. Mike will sketch out an outline of a map, 7 hours. Get preliminary ideas of characters done. Ryan and Nick will design a level. Team members will keep track of their hours on paper.

Check-In 6/5/2020 2:02-2:48

Everyone gave their additional contact information. Akash got the player to move and jump in a small scene, the camera follows him. Mike got the background done. There will be a street and buildings in the foreground, the player will be on the street. Introduced daily check-ins, requirements will be put in the wiki. Need a second branch that Akash will use in case we need to restore things although pushing to master branch is fine since we only have one software dev. Added new tasks to the backlog. Maggie joined our team. We gave developers the weekend off and will start our next sprint on Monday.

Sprint Planning 6/8/2020 2:00-2:14

Went over how hours will be logged for tasks and how they will be considered done. Type estimated hours in comments, record hours logged and comments. Maggie is in finals week so she will not have any tasks.

Sprint Planning 6/10/2020 2:04-2:48

Team members showed what they accomplished during the sprint. Character model feedback (good colors, too tall, should be more pixelized, jacket looks too big, could look more muscular). Make sure characters are scaled correctly and have transparent background. Scaled character to walk on buildings in background.

Sprint Planning 6/12/2020 2:03-2:34

Akash added enemy movement and damage and is working on player respawn. Akash showed his progress. Mike did the animations for jump, run, aim, and idle. Wasn’t sure how to do shooting animation. Mike showed his animations. Jump should have knees bend. Replaced “new tasks” column with “sd planned tasks” and “g planned tasks”. Added new tasks and prioritized them.

Sprint Planning 6/15/2020 2:02-3:04

Held retrospective. Nick created map layout. Akash needs assets before he can start work on his tasks. Prioritized tasks in G planned tasks. Prioritized SD planned tasks. Mike will be able to get tasks for creating animations for aiming and movement after the meeting so that the SD’s can get started on their tasks as soon as possible. We had problems with the animations that would make it harder for Akash to implement them in the game. Mike and Akash will work together to solve the problem during the working meeting. Working meeting at 2PM. Maggie cannot make it at 2 but Akash and Maggie will meet separately. Reminder to log hours and write description of logged hours, and daily check-in on Discord between 8-9PM.

Sprint Planning 6/17/2020 2:00-2:45

Went over Read Me outline and clarified how to log hours and do daily check ins. Animation tasks were rejected, they will be redone in a different way that is easier for Akash to implement into the game. Assigned tasks and hours. Brainstormed new tasks to add to backlog.

Sprint Planning 6/19/2020 2:05-2:41

Clarified how to log hours and do daily check ins. Daily check in bullets are on the front page of the wiki, daily check ins should be done in the Discord while logging hours should be done as comments under the appropriate tasks and should include a brief description of what got done. Discussed putting a link to an EXE file of the build in the wiki and the README. We cannot upload the file on the wiki, but we can put the link in the README which will be automatically updated every time the build is updated in the repository. Mike had to separate each frame of his animations instead of having them all in one file. All tasks were achieved and were closed.

Sprint Planning 6/22/2020 2:01-2:59

Held retrospective. We went over Bills presentation workshop. Short quick presentations that go over how we built the game and the features we implemented. Show off what we got done and say our future goals. Tuesday the 30th is the presentation. Implementing character art and aminations in-game is top priority. Implement boss fight, will shoot, rush, and jump. Will use empty space in existing map and have screen lock in place and block player in. Boss can be large guy in business suit with armor and weapons. Basic enemies will be tanks that require minimal animations. Ryan will make gameplay video. Assigned and wrote descriptions for tasks.

Sprint Planning 6/24/2020 2:00-2:40

Showed progress and closed all tasks but programming boss. Player character could be smaller, about 80% of what he is. In final sprint, we need to finish programming and animating the boss and the enemies. Created and assigned tasks.

Team Meeting 6/29/2020 2:02-3:27

Ryan and Nick went over presentation and slides. We played Scribblio.
