Welcome to the HMMP Wiki! This explains all you need to know about installing the modpack!

0 : Read Before Installing

a: If you already have a mods folder, the mods will be backed up in a folder, usually titled "mods_backup_[randomNumber]" and the current mods folder will be wiped.

(For devs) batch: set num=%random%; mkdir %appdata%\.minecraft\mods_backup_%num%

b: This modpack is only developed to install under the default Minecraft location (C:\Users\yourUsername\AppData\Roaming.minecraft)

1 : Getting the files

Step 1: Download the files. On the 'Code' tab of this GitHub page, you should see a green button saying "Code [download icon]" Click that button, and then select "Download Zip"

Step 2: After downloading the files, extract them. You can usually do this by right-clicking the downloaded zip file, and then clicking "Extract Here"

Step 3: After the files are finished extracting, open the folder (not the zip!) and you may have to click on another folder to open the main files. Once you see a file called "Install" or "Install.bat" you are good.

2 : Installing the modpack

Before installing: If you have installed a previous version of HMMP (v1.1 or lower) you still need to install the newer version of forge. Use install.bat. If you have installed HMMP v1.2 or higher before, you can use Install_skipForge.bat.

Step 1: Open the correct installer (text above tells how to determine. If you are unsure, use Install.bat)

Step 2: Follow onscreen instructions.

3 : Checking if everything is good

Step 1: Open the Minecraft Launcher. The versions list (which normally says "Latest Version") must say one of these two things:

(unnamed installation); 1.7.10-Forge10.13.4.1614-1.7.10

Forge; 1.7.10-Forge10.13.4.1614-1.7.10

(the icon may be a furnace)

If these are correct

Select the version and click Play.

If these are incorrect

Step 1: Go to the Installations tab, near the top

Step 2: Create a new installation.

Step 3: Name the installation "Forge" (this does not have to be exact, name it whatever you want)

Step 4: On the versions drop-down, search for a version named "1.7.10-Forge10.13.4.1614-1.7.10"

Step 5: Select that version, save your installation, select it in the version selector on the Play tab

Step 6: Click Play to launch HMMP.
