Welcome to ITC Air Land Battle Wiki!

This Wiki aims to explain the implemented and planned features of ITC Air Land Battle.

What is ITC Air Land Battle?

ITC Air Land Battle is a long term realistic counter-insurgency game mode, whereby you play as a small team supporting COIN operations, with AI completing the more routine tasks such as presence patrols and garrison duty. This mission is compatible with ACRE2 and TFAR, and is recommended to use ITC Air and ITC Land systems, although these are not required.

How do I get ITC Air Land Battle?

This repository shows the coding behind ITC Air Land Battle, so that people can suggest improvements, see how it works and maybe use it as inspirations for their own projects.

ITC Air Land Battle is not yet available on Steam Workshop, however this WIP version can be downloaded through GitHub and packed into a .pbo to play.

Getting started

So you've jumped into ITC Air Land Battle and you're in a military base. There are guards around, some flags and inside that building some very important looking chaps. You've got a task to fight the insurgency and an awful lot of red markers on your map - with precious few blue ones. What do you do?

To start off with you have 150 deployment points. The best way to start off is to buy a patrol base and a means of getting there.

First of all, you need to become the mission commander. This is done via basic vote system - use ACE Self Interact, go to 'Request to Become Commander' and then when the vote starts - vote for yourself!

You start at the Theatre HQ. There is a building with some flags outside of it - this is the HQ building. Inside are the staff officers and theatre commander. Set up a patrol base through the theatre commander - he's the guy with all of the maps.

Set up this patrol base wherever you want - but tactically it makes more sense to be near to the airfield for logistics. Alternatively, you could just buy a vehicle and drive into Gravia, find the village leader (he'll be stood by a flagpole somewhere near the town marker) and use ACE Interact to request missions form him.

If you decide to set up a patrol base, a truck will spawn outside. This contains all of the supplies required for the patrol base. You need to drive this truck to the patrol base marker - this location will also be marked with blue smoke. This process needs to be done for all new bases.

Once you're at the blue smoke, halt the vehicle on the smoke grenade. You'll be automatically ejected and the truck will disappear, replaced by a circle of construction safety barriers! Once you've moved outside of this circle, the patrol base (or PB) will be built. From here, you can request missions from the base commander, purchase items using allyness points (you start off with 15 - enough for a basic holo sight), you'd be able to use the supply helicopter feature if you had a supply helicopter, and you can fast travel back to theatre HQ. Be aware though - fast travel is only one way. You can fast travel back to the theatre HQ, but not back to the patrol base.

I'd recommend returning to the theatre HQ and getting some kind of vehicle, you can use all of your remaining deployment points on an M-ATC or similar, but these can be destroyed quite easily, so I'd recommend either a quad bike or an open topped vehicle. From here, complete missions! You can get missions from base commanders or you can go to towns and talk to village leaders.
