Trading and Traders 1.16.5 - Herbertofury/Advent-of-Ascension GitHub Wiki

Trading and Traders · 1.16.5

Minecraft 1.16.5 / AoA 3.6.11. This historical handbook covers 207 custom-trader offer definitions: 185 fixed pool candidates and 22 dimension-specific Herald offers. The browser has 44 trader choices, including 21 named Lottoman variants that share the same four-offer pool. Those aliases do not multiply the definition count.

Where to find these traders: biomes, structures and crate hooks

A practical first shopping plan

  1. Match your release. This page is historical 3.6.11 reference. Do not copy its banner names, stock limits or shop inventory into 3.7.16.1.
  2. Choose a buyer for what you already have. Naturalist candidates buy crops; the Metalloid has metal-related trades. Search the exact item in the Trading Desk, then inspect the required profession level.
  3. Bring the exact denomination and both inputs where shown. Copper, Silver, Gold, Lunaver and other coins are separate inputs. This guide does not infer a universal conversion ratio.
  4. Expect a selection from each level pool. The base custom-trader source requests two offers at a level; some classes override this. The catalog is a set of candidates, not a promise that every nearby NPC exposes all rows.
  5. Read special-stack and locked labels. An enchanted book’s enchantment, a custom potion, and the special firework input are not interchangeable with an ordinary base item.

Useful examples

  • Sell produce: 8 Melon → 18 Copper Coin. This is one of seven level-one Naturalist candidates.
  • Buy a Rune Box: 14 Copper Coin → 1 Rune Box. Its contents are a separate item mechanic, not a guaranteed reward from the purchase.
  • Mending book: the Zal Spellbinder pool contains one Mending I enchanted book for two Lunaver Coins. Check the listed profession level and stock in the browser.
  • Silk Touch book: the Primordial Spellbinder pool contains one Silk Touch I enchanted book for one Lunaver Coin. These are distinct book definitions, despite sharing a base icon.

The 21 shared Lottoman variants

These released getTradesMap methods return the same LottomanEntity.TRADES field. A different regional appearance does not establish a unique shop inventory. The browser lets you select each name while retaining the shared-pool label.

Herald banners: an important version difference

In this inspected 1.16.5 build, the four fixed banners are Creation, Energy, Soul and Blood. Each costs four Silver Coins and has nine maximum uses, with 20 merchant XP. The released dimension switch adds one appropriate banner candidate for 22 named dimension cases; its default/Nowhere arm returns no extra offer.

The modern inspected 1.21.1 build instead has Energy, Spirit and Rage in the fixed pool, and 729 maximum uses for its Herald definitions. Neither set should silently overwrite the other in a version-aware wiki. Compare Herald offers.

The suspicious 50-Lunaver firework row

The Explosives Expert includes a level-four definition that pays 50 Lunaver Coins for a special AoA-marked firework stack. Its builder ends in locked(): the source sets max uses to zero and marks the offer out of stock. The browser therefore shows it as starts locked, never as an ordinary available money-making trade.

This catalog does not establish a legitimate unlock path or acquisition route for that special stack. Ordinary firework rockets are not proof that the input matches. Do not treat a dormant definition as an obtainable repeatable reward.

Prices, stock and images

  • Base inputs can change with reputation/demand or other runtime hooks. Use the actual trade screen as the final price.
  • Max uses counts transactions, not items produced. Merchant XP is not player-orb XP.
  • The generic lingering-potion illustration is neutral: read the custom Poison potion label. Book icons do not show their enchantment glow or metadata.
  • This release’s catalog covers the custom AoA traders and Herald switch. Ordinary vanilla-profession additions are outside its current scope.
  • Existence in the source/released classes does not certify natural spawning, every dimension’s playability or the merged Enderloom build.

Evidence

The restricted reader interprets literals and a small allowlist of builders without running Java or Minecraft. Unknown calls fail closed. Item names are joined to pinned source registrations; vanilla SRG fields are checked for consistent source-expression joins. Custom-stack factories are preserved as labeled special requirements rather than flattened into generic item equivalence.
