Cannon Progression and Recipes — 1.20.1
AoA 3.7.1 baseline. Covers all 50 registered cannons: 32 bundled output recipes, comprising 16 infusion recipes, 15 kit upgrades and one shapeless craft. Eighteen cannons have no direct output recipe in this data. That does not mean they are unavailable.

Compare all 50 cannon projectile classes and gravity methods before porting their movement or effects.
Start with the correct station
Infusion Table: frame plus ingredient slots
- Open the exact illustrated recipe card below for your release. Place its base input, often a Cannon Frame, in the separate left input slot.
- Place each listed ingredient occurrence in a separate slot of the 3×3 ingredient area. Two repeated ingot entries require two occupied slots; a single stack in one slot does not satisfy the source matcher’s occupied-slot count.
- Ingredient order is matched without a shaped layout. Keep unused slots empty and use an item that actually belongs to any named tag in your installed pack.
- Check the Imbuing requirement. The inspected item-recipe factory defaults to level 1 when infusion_level is absent; the container checks the recipe requirement unless creative mode bypasses it. Limited-crafting rules may also require the recipe to be known.
Divine Station: existing weapon plus upgrade kit
- Use the Divine Station for an aoa3:upgrade_kit recipe. Put the input weapon in the left slot and the named upgrade kit in the second slot.
- Check the resulting weapon before taking it. The recipe matches item identity in those two slots; it is not an ordinary shaped crafting recipe.
- Preserve valuable originals until upgrade data behavior is tested in your modpack. The inspected assemble method returns a copy of the recipe output; it does not copy the input weapon’s custom data. Do not assume enchantments, names, wear, attachments or other mod data survive.
This input-data behavior is also an explicit upgrade-system QA target: define which data is retained, validate compatibility, preview losses, and never silently erase a player’s customization. External hooks may change behavior, so this is a source finding rather than an observed native loss report.
Shapeless crafting
Mecha Cannon is the single bundled shapeless cannon craft in this release. Follow its exact card rather than treating every cannon as an infusion or kit upgrade.

If the result does not appear
- Confirm Minecraft and AoA release; other versions may use different recipes or systems.
- Use the correct station and base item. Check kit identity and every repeated ingredient slot.
- Check tags, Imbuing requirements and limited-crafting rules.
- Check datapack priority and other mods that replace recipes or loot.
- A missing recipe entry is a research gap, not permission to invent an acquisition route.
