Evidence key: Declared = active registration declaration in the pinned source; — = not found in the inspected living-entity registration files. Neither label proves survival availability, a complete boss encounter, or implementation in your Enderloom build. Projectile/misc registries are outside this table.

Comments were excluded, so disabled legacy declarations are not counted as active. Full source links and class paths are in content-census.json.

Per-creature completion contract

Each creature still needs version-specific spawn rules, biome/dimension, attributes, behavior/AI, damage/immunities, drops/trades, models/animation/sounds, interactions/taming where applicable, multiplayer synchronization and save persistence. A matching registry name does not prove matching behavior across generations. Boss entries additionally need summoning/arena access, phases, rewards, death/reset and repeatability.

Use Content Specification for the required record and Bosses and Combat for encounter acceptance.

Searchable artifact-backed base attributes

Open the legacy Bestiary Observatory for 485 source-mapped entities with 2,221 resolved literal getter values, portraits, category filtering and method-level evidence. These are base getter values rather than final in-game stats. How the values are verified.

Release, dimension and biome browser

Open Bestiary Observatory. Choose Minecraft / AoA release, filter dimension or biome/selector evidence, and sort by name, dimension or biome. Legacy base-health/melee sorting remains release-scoped.

Edition Inspected roster Records with extracted spawn evidence Loot association coverage
1.12.2 / 3.3.6 525 source-mapped entities (485 with selected getters) 270 pinned-source spawn records 438 exact artifact method bindings
1.16.5 / 3.6.11 419 pinned-source living registrations 135 artifact spawn records 381 matching entity-named table resources
1.20.1 / 3.7.1 285 pinned-source living registrations 34 artifact spawn records 275 matching entity-named table resources
1.21.1 / 3.7.16.1 83 pinned-source living registrations 38 artifact spawn records 76 matching entity-named table resources

These are inspected rosters, not a claim of complete runtime registries. Modern table matches are resource evidence, not certified method bindings; variant tables, custom drops and global modifiers can change the result. Biome tags remain explicit selectors, and missing spawn evidence is unknown rather than absent. Legacy dimension links follow WorldProvider / WorldType / BiomeProviderSingle relationships, not entity folder names.

Illustrated drops and practical use

Expand a creature’s loot panel for item pictures, base quantities, Looting/conditional indicators, exact functions and nested tables. Recipe links preserve the selected release so you can investigate what a drop is used for. The legacy dataset currently has base icons for all 602 distinct referenced items; missing or ambiguous metadata appearances are not invented. Modern pictures use their own release atlases.

The interface fetches each release’s loot only when requested and caches it. Local tests exercised 787 modern creature panels and all 792 retained modern entity/nested tables, plus the legacy tables. Live browser checks covered version switching, Abyss/Barathos filtering, Creep Cow quantities and Arkback’s modern loot. No drop percentages are fabricated.

Still being filled in

Complete modern runtime binding checks, variant drops, global loot additions, missing images, spawn-code paths beyond the extracted JSON/source subset, dedicated tactics, final runtime stats and every per-creature player guide remain active work. A useful field guide must answer where to find it, how to handle it, what it drops and what those drops enable.

Base item-picture coverage

Modern entity/nested tables now have base model references for every distinct referenced item ID: 458/458 for 1.16.5, 299/299 for 1.20.1 and 204/204 for 1.21.1. This is not variant completeness: untinted references are explicitly labeled and random metadata does not show a misleading fixed variant. Legacy base coverage is now 602/602, with 64 explicit metadata model references. Expand random-variant groups to inspect the client appearances; the loot function may select only a subset. Three statue previews were recovered by ignoring zero-area faces before texture lookup.

The legacy roster now includes the 40 previously omitted source-mapped entries without selected AoA base getters, including Nethengeic Wither, Shadowlord and the four Rune Templars. Missing stats remain unknown rather than dropping the creature from the browser.

Release-matched base attributes

The browser now shows 787 artifact-derived stat-builder records across the three modern releases (419 / 285 / 83). These are explicit builder inputs, not inferred factory defaults or final in-game values after modifiers. Each record retains its method evidence. Exact creature links preserve the release and entity ID, making entries shareable without ambiguous name searches.

Complete inspected modern portrait roster

All 83 entries in the inspected 1.21 living-entity source roster now have version-matched static source portraits, including fish shared-model variants and Shiny Squid. Charger, Veloraptor, Dryad Sprite and Opteryx cards expose additional verified appearances. Illustrated roster and limits.

Legacy portraits and release gaps

The complete 419-entry inspected 1.16.5 roster has 409 body portraits, eight source particle grids, one intentionally invisible entry and one dynamic-player-skin entry. Phase and disabled-state galleries are included where mapped. Coverage, examples and evidence.

The released 1.20.1 renderer audit separately explains verified placeholders and five field/target mismatches. Source references do not certify fully tested runtime behaviour, and appearances are not silently substituted from another release.

Lean, release-specific loading

Opening a modern creature link now fetches only that release’s roster. It no longer preloads the legacy roster and every modern release. The 1.21.1 JSON startup budget drops from 3,818,290 to 338,481 uncompressed bytes (91.1% less); this is a payload comparison, not a claim of 91.1% faster wall-clock loading. Each release is cached once, failures can retry, and loot and appearance galleries remain on demand. Measured payload budgets.
