Network common data form or NetCDF is a scientific data format, typically used with weather models, satellite data, etc.

There is a variety of ways to view this data, but to simplify you can use the terminal based applications (eg python libraries) or GUIs

Terminal Applications:

• Python NetCDF4
• GDAL

GUI Applications:

• QGIS (crayfish plugin for mesh/temporal data)
• ncview
• Panoply
