Find & Replace

Find your Model Item of type:

• Package
• Element
• Diagram
• Operation
• Attribute

with a string or a regular expression according to .NET.

You may choose in what fields to search:

• Name
• Description / Notes
• Stereotype
• Tagged Values (Names of Tagged Values) are a comma separated list Note: Find & Replace only handles simple text and no sophisticated Tagged Value types

You may replace the found string by a 'Replace String' (replaced by).

Procedure

1. Define search and possible replace string and click Find
2. See count of found items
3. If you want to see the details click Show
4. See the details, replace, edit, store

Other approaches

Often the easiest approach is to:

• Export as *.xml
• Modify with you favorable text editor
• Import

Find & Replace

Define the search criteria and click find.

Tagged Values

You can search and replace Tagged Value of type string and Memo (>255 characters long). Examples of Tagged value names are:

• MySimpleTaggedValue
• Mdg::TaggedValue

Be aware that you have to store changes to make them permanent.

Show details

If you want to see the details, the context, browse through the found changes: Clik on Show.

Show

The Show Window let you brwose through the found items and:

• See the values to change in context
• Decide item for item

Just edit the text. Find parts are yellow.
