Grass Seeds is an item that can be used to grow new Grass Blocks by using it on Dirt, Coarse Dirt, Rooted Dirt, Podzol, or Mycelium. It is dropped occasionally by Short Grass, Tall Grass, Ferns, and Large Ferns.

When crafted with Dirt, Grassy Dirt is created, a new decorative block. Like Grass Blocks, it cannot survive with a solid block on top of it, and will revert to Dirt. When bonemealed, it will convert into a normal Grass Block.
