Some potential extensions or new features for our game could be:

• Option to turn sound on or off mid game
• When a ship is clicked it changes colour or gets outlined
• When a ship is destroyed the red squares also have an X put in them to make it clear for players as ship has sunk
• A coordinate grid on the x and y axis
