Goals

  • Allow the player to traverse the environment, explore and reach objectives

Needs

The player controls a character, the main protagonist, using the keyboard. With WASD they can choose to move up, down, left, right or diagonally.

Constraints

Isometric movement with the keyboard will need to be tested, as moving in an isometric space with WASD could prove confusing

Features

A Features (Required)

  • The player’s character is able to walk in all directions using WASD
  • The character turns towards the moving direction

B Features (Desired)

  • The player is also able to move the character by clicking on the ground with the cursor defined in “Player Interaction” (Cut after testing, as it only created confusion)
  • The player’s character accelerates and decelerates over time instead of snapping into max speed
