This page defines the meaning of several words or terms in order to understand each other when using them.

Sample

A sample is an audio file that can be used in a sound ; it shouldn't be « useful » alone. A sample can use other samples. This project is a samples market.

Sound

A sound is a « finished » audio project, like a song, a collection of organised samples, ...

Like (Social)

A like is more a « add to favourites » action ; it is then useful to retrieve the samples you like. Only the author of a sample can see its number of likes.
