Growthcraft Cellar Brew Kettle - GrowthcraftCE/Growthcraft-1.16 GitHub Wiki
We have introduced a new brewing process that is more true to the actual process of making ale. With the release of Growtchraft 6 for Minecraft 1.16, we have introduced a new device called the roaster. Using the roaster, you can roast grain to a specific darkness, which will, in turn, produce different ales and lagers.
Overall Process
- Grow wheat
- Place wheat into the stonecutter to make grain.
- Place grain and the respective amount of redstone into the roaster.
- Place the roasted grain into the Brew Kettle with water to make the style of wort that you want.
- Place the resulting wort fluid into a Ferment Barrel with Brewers or Lagers yeast.
- Using a bottle draw the fermented fluid out of the Ferment Barrel.
- Enjoy.

Roasting Grain
Using the roaster, roast the grain to the desired darkness. Adding redstone dust will determine how long the roaster will run to process the given grain. No redstone will actually be consumed. (based on feedback, this will be changing)
Roasted Grain | Redstone | Ticks | Secs |
---|---|---|---|
Pale Golden Roasted Grain | 1 | 400 | 20 |
Golden Roasted Grain | 2 | 600 | 30 |
Amber Roasted Grain | 3 | 800 | 40 |
Deep Amber Roasted Grain | 4 | 1000 | 50 |
Copper Roasted Grain | 5 | 1200 | 60 |
Deep Copper Roasted Grain | 6 | 1400 | 70 |
Brown Roasted Grain | 7 | 1600 | 80 |
Dark Roasted Grain | 8 | 1800 | 90 |
Wort
Add the roasted grain to water in the brew kettle to produce the given "Wort".
Add hops to the given Wort to produce Hopped Wort. Note not all ales will have a hops requirement (stouts).
Adding roasted grain to a "Roasted Grain" Wort will make the basis of an Imperial style ale which will add a secondary effect after fermentation.
Fluid | Amount | Input Item | Ticks | Secs | Result |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Water | 250 mb | "Roasted" Grain | 600 | 30 | Roasted Grain Wort 250 mb |
Water | 250 mb | Wheat | 600 | 30 | Wort 250 mb |
:notebook: Generic wort is used in the Culture Jar to duplicate yeast.
Fermenting
Add the wort to a fermentation barrel with yeast to produce the given fermented ale. Drawing the fermented fluid from the fermenting barrel with a bottle will produce the given Ale, Lager, or Wine.
