We chose three different colors: YlnMn blue, Naples yellow, Brunswick green. We chose YlnMn blue because it is a color that "is seen as a sign of stability and reliability (Businesses that want to project an image of security often utilize blue in their advertising and marketing efforts)" (Cherry, 2024). Also, it is a color associated with trust, steadiness, sagacity, wisdom, and stability (Clark, 2023). One of the main goals of our app is to create a trustworthy and reliable platform for students to exchange academic materials, so we believe that YlnMn blue is a good choice for the primary color of our app. We chose Naples yellow because it is a color that can be associated with the main color of University of Los Andes, and we want to create a sense of belonging to the university community. Finally, we chose Brunswick green because it is a color that is associated with green spaces and nature, and we want to promote sustainability and environmental awareness through our app.

On the other hand, we decided that it was really important to check the contrast of the colors. We used the https://color.adobe.com/es/create/color-contrast-analyzer to analyze the contrast of the colors. Between the three colors, we found that the contrast between YlnMn blue and Naples yellow is 5,94 / 1 and the contrast between Naples yellow and Brunswick green is 6,12 / 1. This means that the contrast between the colors is sufficient to ensure that the normal text, large text and graphic components are accessible to all users and have enough contrast to be easily read.
