How To Play On Project KONGOR - Grinspoon/LEARNATORIUM_Grinspooner GitHub Wiki
Begin by downloading the full client from any of the below links. Make sure you pick the flavour that suits your specific system.
Keep in mind that if you wish to help your friend out with the installation procedure, you should NEVER log in with your account on their PC, to avoid 1-account-system issues.
Please be advised that any files/download mirrors are not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the Project KONGOR team. Use of any such third-party mirrors is at the sole discretion and risk of the user.
Download mirrors:
Windows: HonInstaller 4.10.9Windows: HonInstaller 4.10.9
Windows (Thai client): HonInstaller 4.10.9
Extract, and then run launcher.exe (NOT hon_x64.exe, see below image) and play!
Note: avoid installing in any of the following folders (Documents, Desktop, OneDrive or Program Files)
Step 1: Download the launcher. You may download the launcher via Discord (see images below), or by clicking here.
Step 2: Place the launcher into the folder where HoN is installed. This is important, otherwise the launcher will not find the game files and will have to download all files (which takes a LONG time).
Step 3: Run the launcher, and enjoy!
Problem: The launcher is showing “Failed to open” error.
Reason: You forgot to copy the launcher into the game folder.
Solution: Put the launcher into the game folder and then run it.
Problem: The launcher fails with a “Failed to download http://kongor.b-cdn.net/” error 403.
Reason: The launcher you are using is outdated and http://kongor.b-cdn.net/ website is shut down.
Solution: Download the newest version of the launcher from discord or click here.
Problem: The launcher fails with a “The folder is not empty, please choose another folder” error.
Reason: The folder where the game will be repaired must be empty.
Solution: Choose an empty folder, such as C:\Games\HoN (create it if it doesn't exist).
Problem: The launcher fails with a “The folder does not have write permissions” error.
Reason: The launcher is unable to repair the game into a folder without write permissions.
Solution: Avoid using Documents, Desktop or C:\Program Files. Use something neutral, like C:\Games\HoN\
Problem: Game version is showing 4.10.1 and login fails with “Connection Failed” error.
Reason: You ran hon_x64.exe and it’s trying to connect to the original (now closed) masterserver.
Solution: Run e.g. C:\Games\HoN\launcher.exe to start playing.
