Accessing GBI Xsede resources - Green-Biome-Institute/Xsede GitHub Wiki
Nice, you are almost done with collecting your genomics/transcriptomics/epigenome/microbiome data. I say "almost" because no one is ever done with collecting data. Now it is time to analyze some data on the Xsede clusters. These clusters are basically computers in different parts of the US, allocated for scientists like yourself. As GBI, we requested allocations for computing, data storage and sharing. As the most essential part of our efforts, you have access to these allocations for doing your analyses anywhere with your computer. First, you need to create an account on the Xsede portal through this link. Then, ask your PI for giving you access to their allocations within GBI. They can search for your user name through the portal.
After you are added to their allocation, you can now connect to available resources. Let's start with ssh'ing to the clusters, follow the link "ssh to Xsede" on the right.
