RetroRosetta + LevelShifter Assembly

NOTE: Please be careful with the case shell before fitting, and avoid flexing any parts, including the button tabs, until after the case is fitted to the shell.

[1] 4 x 25 mm hex white plastic spacers (M2.5 - Threaded)

[2] 4 x 2 mm white plastic spacers (M2.5 - Unthreaded)

[3] 4 x 15 mm black plastic spacers (M2.5 - Unthreaded)

[4] 2 x Case sheet

[5] 4 x 60 mm bolts (M2.5)

[6] Optional Grouping header

[7] Wires (Female-Female Dupont 2.54mm header jumper wires)

[8] 4 x hex nuts (M2.5)

[9] RetroRosetta PCB

[10] LevelShifter PCB

[11] 1x LevelShifter case

[12] 1x RetroRosetta case

Recommended tools

PH00 screwdriver

[Optional] M2.5 hex wrench/spanner OR small mole grips

Instructions

  1. Place 4x 60mm bolts [5] on to the table

  2. Place a case sheet [4] on the 4 bolts [5] with textured side facing the heads of the bolts

  3. Add a white 2mm spacer [2] onto each bolt [5]

  4. Add the LevelShifter PCB [10] onto the 4 bolts [5] with atop the spacers [2] and bottom sheet [4], with the male pins facing upwards

  5. Connect the controller cables for your system to the LevelShifter - But don't connect the wires [7] to the RetroRosetta board yet with the appropriate guide

  6. Add the LevelShifter case [11], routing the wires [7] through the centre opening

  7. Add the 15mm black spacer [3] onto each bolt [5]

  8. Place the RetroRosetta case [12] onto the bolts [5]

  9. Connect the wires [7] from the LevelShifter PCB [10] to the RetroRosetta PCB [9] by continuing the appropriate guide

  10. Slide the RetroRosetta PCB [9] onto the bolts, with the male pins again facing upwards, routing the cables and wires [7] through the gaps besides and behind the board

  11. [Optional] Add 1 or 2mm spacers onto each bolt

  12. Add the 25mm white plastic spacer [1] onto each bolt and tighten fully

  13. Route the external cables through the Player 1 and Player 2 holes in the RetroRosetta case

  14. Add the 2nd case [4] sheet on top with the matte side facing up

  15. Add a nut [8] onto each bolt [5] and tighten
