Silk Moths are small bugs that can be found in the Dark Forest biome and the Enchanted Bayou. These are their characteristics:

• Silk Moths are attracted to light sources, blocks with the tag attracts_moth such as Lanterns, Salt Lamps or Sea Lantern.
• Silk Moths only have 2 hearts of health.
• When not attracted to a light source, Silk Moths tend to move around or sit on the ground.
• Silk Moths drop 1 to 2 Silk Fiber when slain.
• Silk Moths can spawn in four different colors: Brown, Black, Blue or Pink

Bottling a Silk Moth

Silk Moths can be placed in a bottle if you right-click them with a Rustic Bottle. The Silk Moth will be stored inside of the bottle and their data will also be saved, which includes their name.

Silkworm Cocoon

Silkworm Cocoons tend to spawn in the trunks of Dark Oak and Cottonwood trees. If you right-click the cocoon with a attracts_moth block, it will make a Silk Moth spawn after a few seconds.

If you break it, a Silkworm will emerge from it instead. The Silkworm can be combined with Leaves to obtain Silk Fiber.

Silk Fiber

Silk Fiber is a new resource that can be used in certain recipes, such as crafting a Weather Idol or to craft a Cobweb.
