Salt is a resource that can be found in the Salt Oasis by mining Salt Blocks, or crushing Saltsprout.

This item can be placed on the ground in order to offer items to a Ritual Table, part of the Ritual system.

The Salt item can be replaced or used in any recipe with the common tag salt_dusts/salt, as well as the salt_blocks tag.

Usages

The salt itself can be placed on the ground and you can insert items on the salt. This is useful to perform rituals and rituals will require certain items to be placed on top of the salt.

Furthermore, you can combine Salt with Rotten Flesh to obtain Leather by following this recipe:

Salt Block

Salt can be combined in a crafting grid in order to obtain a Salt Block allowing you to store this resource more efficiently. This block can be found naturally in the Salt Oasis, and mining it yields 2 to 4 Salt which can increase with Fortune.

Salt Lamp

A new decorative block, the Salt Lamp can be created with a Copper Ingot, a Salt Block and a Torch, it gives a luminance level of 12.

This block can either be placed on the ground, or hanging from a block.

Purifying Salts

This new item can be crafted using Salt, a Leather and any of the items with the tag crushed herbs such as Siren Paste.

This item can be used by holding the Right Mouse Button for a few seconds and it will remove any current negative effect from the player.
