Kerbal Construction Time (KCT) (Mod)

In stock KSP, a lot of things are immediate: Unlocking a science node, upgrading a building, building a rocket. This is not true in real life, Kerbal Construction Time (KCT) fixes this.

Basics:

At the start of your carreer, KCT will offer you a few Build Points (BP). These BP are the main currency for having things done faster. You can use your BPs to increase the speed of your scientist to research science nodes faster, or use them on your VAB or SPH engineers to build your rockets/planes faster. At the start of your carreer, you might want to use about 50/50 points in the VAB and in the R&D. Each time you unlock a node in your tech tree, you will be given 1 BP. To further speed up your space program, you can by 1 BP for 30.000$.

Building upgrades:

When you pay to upgrade your buildings they will not be upgraded immediately; they will be slowly upgraded and this is visible in the R&D tab of KCT GUI. Building upgrades rates are dependent on R&D rates: better R&D rates = faster building upgrade. [IS THIS CORRECT? R&D rates???]

VAB rates:

When clicking on the 'Launch' button in the VAB, instead of immediately building your rocket and placing it on your launchpad, KCT will add your rocket to your VAB build list. Depending on the complexity of your rocket and on your current VAB build rate, building your rockets can take from a few weeks to several months. When the rocket is built, you can choose to roll it out to your launchpad. Again, this will take a few days and will cost you some cash. Note that when you upgrade your VAB building, you will be able to have 2 seperate VAB build rates: allowing you to craft 2 rockets at the same time. Your first VAB rates will increase by 0.05 for each BP you feed it. The secondary VAB rate will increase 0.10 per BP, and your third VAB rate (on your second VAB building upgrade) will increase by 0.20 per BP. This means that investing in the very expensive VAB building upgrade is quite profitable.

R&D rates:

Your first tech nodes will take a few weeks to several months to be researched. Adding BP to your R&D rates will slowly reduce these times.

Multiple Launch Pads:

KCT allow you to build several Launchpads. To create a new one, in the KCT GUI, in the bottom of the VAB tab, click on 'New'. Each new launchpad will be at tier 0 by default, but can be upgraded in exchange for cash.

TIPS:

Dont be too shy to spend your cash in new BPs. It is really needed to get your Space Pogram running at a decent rate. But of course, balance is needed, you will still need cash to build new rockets, roll them out and also to unlock precious new parts. Don't invest all your BP in the VAB, if you can build rockets in 1 week but need months to unlock new nodes, you'll probably need to warp time (while building nothing) to wait for nodes to unlock. In early carreer, about 50/50 in VAB and R&D seems about right. When you earn lots of science points and are able to unlock lots of nodes, you may want to invest massively in the R&D rates to unlock all these nodes in less than a decade...
