Installing MetaMask and Adding the GBA Test Token to Your Wallet

This brief tutorial will walk you through the steps to install the MetaMask web browser add-on and add GBA Tokens (GER) to your wallet. Note: GER is the temporary GBA test token.

Approximate time to complete: 15 minutes

You can install the MetaMask add-on in Chrome, FireFox, Opera, or the Brave web browser.

Step 1

Open the web browser where you want to install MetaMask and go to https://metamask.io. Select your web browser on the page, then click Add to initiate the installation.

Turn on sync is optional. You can close the dialog box to bypass this step.

Step 2

Click Get Started to create a new wallet.

Step 3

Create a password (min 8 characters), review Terms of Use, and click Create.

Step 4

Get your Secret Backup Phrase. This is a 12-word phrase (also called a seed phrase) used for account recovery. * Click the Secret Backup Phrase lock icon to view the phrase.

* You should write it down and keep in a secure place.

You’ll need to refer to your Secret Backup Phrase in the next step.

Click Next.

Step 5

On the confirmation page, the words in your Secret Backup Phrase display in a randomized sequence under a confirmation box.

Click each word of your Secret Backup Phrase (in order) to enter it in the confirmation box. You can drag the words to their correct positions in the confirmation box to complete your phrase.

Click Confirm.

The MetaMask add-on is installed.

Step 6

Your public wallet address displays at the top of the wallet window. Place your mouse over the address to use the Copy to clipboard option. You'll need your wallet address later to receive tokens.

Step 7

Click on the dropdown arrow next to the Main Ethereum Network.

Choose Custom RPC.

Step 8

• Enter the Network Name: GBA Hub

• Enter New RPC URL: http://etht5zt7j-dns-reg1.eastus2.cloudapp.azure.com:8540

• Enter Symbol: ETH

Click Save.

MetaMask will connect to the RPC URL you entered.

If the connection doesn't complete within a few minutes, close then reopen your web browser, and repeat steps 7 and 8.

Step 9

Click on the network dropdown icon and select GBA Hub.

Step 10

With the GBA Hub network selected, select the menu icon.

Step 11

Select Add Token.

Step 12

Select the Custom Token tab.

Enter (copy and paste) the Token Contract Address : 0x968bC6E4CD7f62E0700106b93e5f576cb0d92758

The Token Symbol (GER) and Decimals of Precision (2) fields will auto-populate.

Click Next.

Step 13

Click Add Tokens.

The GER tokens are added to your wallet.
