VBus

pic8

The board includes a through hole test points for VBus. Headers can be added to this. You can isolate upstream and downstream. Using this one can measure the Voltage being supplied on VBus. There are 3 ways to use this:

  1. You can test the VBus by connecting a multi meter like equipment to monitor.

  2. You can test the VBus by adding headers to the through hole test points and then connecting the headers to an oscilloscope.

  3. You can test the DUT by supplying a specific Voltage through the VBus test points.

CC1

pic9

The board includes a through hole test points for CC1. Headers can be added to this. You can isolate upstream and downstream. Using this test point one can measure the signal on the CC1 line. There are 3 ways to test this:

  1. You can test the signal on CC1 line by connecting a multi meter like equipment to monitor.

  2. You can test the signal on CC1 by adding headers to the through hole test points and then connecting the headers to an oscilloscope.

  3. You can test the DUT by supplying a specific Voltage through the CC1 test points.

CC2/VConn

pic10

The board includes a through hole test points for CC2/VConn. Headers can be added to this. You can isolate upstream and downstream. Using this test point one can measure the signal on the CC2 line or the voltage being supplied on VConn when connected to a Power Delivery cable. There are 3 ways to test this:

  1. You can test the signal on CC2 line or the power supplied on VConn by connecting a multi meter like equipment to monitor.

  2. You can test the signal on CC2 line or the power supplied on VConn by adding headers to the through hole test points and then connecting the headers to an oscilloscope.

  3. You can test the DUT by supplying a specific Voltage through the CC2/VConn test points.

SBU

pic11

The board includes a through hole test points for SBU. Headers can be added to this. The Side Band Use pins are provided for adding future specifications or for Alternate Mode functionality or as Audio Accessory. Using this test point one can measure the signal on the SBU when Connected to a Power Delivery cable. There are 2 ways to test this:

  1. You can test the signal on SBU lines by connecting a multimeter like equipment to monitor.

  2. You can test the signal on SBU lines by adding headers to the through hole test points and then connecting the headers to an oscilloscope.

VBus/11

pic12

The board includes a Voltage divider. The included Voltage divider divides the voltage by 11. The user can modify the resistances as per the VBus range requirement. With USB-PD a VBus can carry upto 20V/5A. A Voltage divider is needed to enable micro controllers automatically measure VBus or to power using VBus we provided a volatage divider.
