Which do you find easier to work with?

Generally when there are a lot of conditions and relatively fewer rules the vertical format is easier.

But if you have lots of rules and few conditions then horizontal is easier.

If you have a lot of both then you can take your pick.

Fortunately in BizVR you can togle between thw two views as needed
