Takeaways
-
⚡ The "Identiverse" name was re-purposed by Ping... they alraedy had mugs printed! I guess "Cloud Identity Summit" had too much emphasis on "cloud", and Andi describes wanting to expand the scope of the conference to more topics.
-
⚡ Two things that probably no one saw coming, including Andi: (1) emergence of software identity as a challenger to human identity for importance; (2) the professionalization of identity as a career for thousands of people and the challenges of how identity leaders fit into a corporate culture (e.g. should there be a Chief Identerati Officer that reports to the CEO?)
-
⚡ Some of the challenges of software identity and agentic AI pattern match with challenges previously faced in the identity community. The UMA and Consent Receipts standards from Kantara are two good examples of consensus based technical collaboration that still have a lot of relevance.
-
⚡ Lots of nostalgia for great past events! A new core community is emerging at Identiverse, which is continuing to evolve as the industry becomes more mature and new areas of practice emerge. Thanks to Andi for being part of the village that works so hard to make it happen!
