You shouldn't put PII on the blockchain... but if you do... and you want to remove that data later... you could through versioning. But is the inability to remove data from a blockchain preventing adoption of blockchain anywhere? Praveen and Mike couldn't think of any use cases where this approach would justify the extra complexity of versioning the blockchaim.
