Wallets take center stage! Digital identity mandates in the EU and more investment in the technology will lead to quicker adoption. Enterprises will have new options for identity proofing workforce, and interacting with consumers. But the timing is still unclear, as there are still many business, legal and technicals details to figure out.

The Authorati (authz gurus) may be the new Identerati! New authz vendors attended EIC for the first time, like Cerbos. The OpenID Foundation AuthZen working group is making progress to provide a common interface for applications to use a RESTful API to obtain authz decisions. Umbrella Associates Authz beer was laucnhed... clearly things are happening in this space. But how will enterprises govern non-RBAC authz approaches? Not clear? Maybe AI?
