Installing

Prerequisites

• XCP-ng Iso (I'm using v8.3)
• USB Stick
• Rufus

Installation Steps

1. Download the XCP-ng iso from here or here.
2. Use Rufus to make a bootable usb drive with the XCP-ng iso.
3. Boot off of the usb drive on the host machine
4. Install XCP-ng

The default login is root/[password you set].

Updating

SSH into the host machine and run

yum update

Restart the XAPI toolstack on the host

xe-toolstack-restart

Patches

In Xen Orchestra navigate to Home > Pools and select your host from the list.

Under Patches you will be able to install patches and reboot to apply them.
